3. Home Workout Gear

Home workout gear is the key to unlocking your full fitness potential from the comfort of your own living space. It helps eliminate the "I couldn't make it to the gym excuse" and encompasses a wide range of exercise equipment and accessories designed to help you build strength, improve endurance, enhance flexibility, and achieve your fitness goals.


 What Does Home Workout Gear Include? 

I'll be completely honest: I'm not going to recommend specific items (aside from one) because I haven't tried each one specifically. However, if I were just starting out or building a gym from scratch, here are a few things I would include - look at ratings and reviews before you buy.


Resistance Bands: These versatile bands provide varying levels of resistance, allowing you to target specific muscle groups and engage in effective strength training, stretching, and mobility exercises. 


Adjustable Dumbbells: Compact and easy to store, dumbbells are essential for building upper body strength and can be used for a variety of exercises, from bicep curls to shoulder presses. 


Adjustable Kettlebells: Perfect for dynamic and full-body workouts, kettlebells add intensity to your training regimen, helping you develop power, stability, and cardiovascular endurance. 


Yoga Mat: Ideal for yoga and core workouts, yoga mats provide a comfortable and non-slip surface for practicing various poses and exercises. 


Exercise Balls: These large stability balls are excellent for enhancing core strength and balance. They can be incorporated into a wide range of exercises to engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously. 


Jump Ropes: A classic cardio tool, jump ropes offer a high-intensity, low-impact workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, agility, and coordination. 


Pull-Up Bars: Easily mountable in doorways, pull-up bars are perfect for upper body workouts, helping you strengthen your back, shoulders, and arms.


Adjustable Weight Bench: An adjustable weight bench will allow you to add many exercises to your routine. Many are space-saving and will add stability and safety to exercises you are already performing. When lifting heavy, better options are available through Titan Fitness or Rogue Fitness, but for everyday and light weight use, I would recommend Flybird or Yoleo for their stability and high ratings. I would stay away from Cap or Marcy as they are typically lower quality and do not last very long.
